Code Of Conduct

1	As a karateka of the IKL, I will be a dedicated student and exert maximum effort in my training, and in all other endeavors I undertake.
2	I will serve my community as a worthwhile and law abiding citizen.
3	I will keep myself physically, spiritually, and morally fit.
4	I will not use my knowledge and skills in karate to provoke others and I will use them in self defense and only in life threatening situations.
5	I am a stronger and wiser person to walk away from people who challenge or provoke me to fight.
6	I will always be humble and polite and not boast of my karate ability.
7	I will treat everyone fairly and equally, regardless of race, color, creed, sex or religion.
8	In whatever I say or do, I will always be honest and sincere.
9	I shall fulfill and meet any and all obligations, duties, and responsibilities required of me.
10	I will maintain a harmonious relationship with everyone and respect my senseis and my parents.
11	I will be kind to others.
12	And I will swear upon my honor that I will uphold the precepts of this karate-do, be loyal to the IKL and obey the laws of the land.
