Gate City Dojo

Sensei Buck grew up on remote ranches in Rowland, Nevada—deep in the wide-open country near the Bruneau River. He began studying Tang Soo Do at 15, during a time when martial arts schools were few and far between in the state. Though he moved before earning his Black Belt, his passion for martial arts never faded.

Years later, Sensei Buck trained in Kyokushin Karate under a former classmate and eventually found his way to Gate City Dojo, where he studied under Twitchell-sensei. After years of dedication, he was appointed Sensei of the dojo following the passing of Dorman Senpai. Over the years, Sensei Buck has also explored Krav Maga, Tai Chi, and Wing Chun. He's an active member of the Pocatello Buhurt Armored Combat Club and is teaching himself—and his horse—mounted archery. He even built what he believes is the only competition-level mounted archery course in the state.

In addition to martial arts, Sensei Buck is passionate about 3D modeling and printing, blacksmithing (particularly knives), computer games, and tabletop wargames like Warhammer and Bolt Action.
