After a 4 year hiatus due to the pandemic, we will be hosting our 16th Annual IKL Karate Championship this Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Kekuaokalani Gym, in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Introductions are at 8:30 am, the competition starts at 9 am with black belt Kata (Forms), then Kobudo (Weapons), lunch, then Kumite (Sparring) after lunch. 85 individual competitors from 18 Dojos are registered to compete. Walter K. Nishioka, the Founder and Chief Instructor of the International Karate League will preside over the event. This year a special guest will perform a rarely seen demonstration. Come and see the competition, admission is FREE.

Note: due to inoperable bleachers, bring your own chair with padding on the legs to protect the gym floor.
