On Saturday night, July 15, 2023, at the Wailuku Hongwanji, IKL held their after tournament Banquet. During the Banquet, 15 black belts were recognized for their promotions over the last 12 months (since our last Tournament in July 2022, in San Diego). Fortunate to have their Black Belt Certificates presented to them by our Shihan Walter NISHIOKA at the Banquet were: Senpai William MEMDOZA, Shodan, Fontana Dojo, CA., Sensei Roland YAMAMOTO, Sandan, Kailua-Kona Dojo, HI., and Sensei Jenna SHIROMA, Sandan, Captain Cook Dojo, HI.
